Hello, I am Melvin Poh.

I'm an entrepreneur, author, and philosopher working at the intersection of business and ideas. I founded Empirics, built Librius, run the Empirical Institute, and wrote DISCONNECTED but what ties all of it together is one conviction: that philosophy belongs in modern life, not behind university walls. My work has been recognised by Forbes 30 Under 30, the British Council, and the Royal Society of Arts, and I trained at Lincoln's Inn, Harvard, Imperial, and Cambridge. But beyond titles and recognition, my purpose is simple: to restore depth in an increasingly distracted world. We live in an age of abundance yet beneath the surface, many feel lost, restless, and disconnected. I believe this quiet despair stems not from what we lack, but from what we've forgotten: the art of introspection, the pursuit of meaning, and the value of philosophy.

That's why my life's work is devoted to reviving philosophy as a living, breathing force, not as abstract theory, but as a way of thinking, living, and leading. Through my writing, my ventures, and my public work, I aim to make philosophy relevant, practical, and accessible for everyone.
